Rose Figtree joining the Kangaroo March in memory of Joseph Robert Ranson

I am in Wagga now (swag unused as yet). The March begins today at 10am with fanfare here in Wagga to see us on our way.

Hope to have you all join me for this historic journey over the next 5 weeks.
The letters here have come from the Australian War Memorial archives.

I will be walking in memory of Joseph Robert Ranson (my husband's Great Uncle) killed at the age of 35 in France in 1918 on the Western Front. A promising young barrister like so many brave young men was wounded 4 times and returned to the battle fields to sadly die just before the end of WW1 after a direct mortar hit, leaving a young wife and grief stricken family behind.
