Kangaroo March days 17 and 18: Yass Jerrawa Dalton and Gunning.

The March continues on its way through stunningly green Aussie bush thanks to recent rain. We are often cheered along by isolated people who have come out to wave the flag and remember our diggers. Many a derilect gem of Australian Heritage stands lonely and neglected waiting for care and renewal. I found the Paterson's pub at Binalong a particularly sad example of our heritage desperately in need of attention.
School children consistently impress with their performances in memory of this March. The ceremonies in each town are well attended and a reminder of how great the sacrifice was of these small communities to the WW1 war effort. Lest we Forget.
Last night we were treated to a performance of 'Dead Mean talking' in the Gunning Hall. I would urge people in the Highlands to attending the upcoming performace in Berriman on the October Long Weekend. Fantastic show.
