Banjo Patterson in Binalong.

The walk has past through Binalong; birthplace to Banjo Patterson. Either there is something in the water that fosters talent or Banjo's ghost ensures his birthplace continues to feed his legacy of capturing the Australian spirit in rhyme and verse.

The parade and remembrance ceremony like all the towns along this march was a tribute to our fallen diggers and the  horror of their lives as they were taken away in glory to fight for our freedom. Lest we forget.

Town after town has shown us a line up of extraordinary talent. Neil Smith the Mayor and Bush poet of Junee shire set the tone of the March entertainment and little did we know what was to come. The Australian bush life must foster the creative. At Binalong with a population of just 250, the talent was again top drawer with bush poets Robyn Sykes and Victoria McGrath  having us laugh, Singers Clancy, Siobhan McGrath, and Fiona Hernderson all delightful in their powerful renditions of songs to pay tribute to our fallen heros.  Lest we forget.
