To all supporters who helped us reach well over our initial target of $5,000 this last city2surf event I want to extend huge thanks. I have spent the last week in Dhaka only to discover that I need at least a month up there.
Our race day was all that an event like this should be. Very positive with so many making inroads for charity funding. A great reflection on the character of our Nation to have so many raising funds for charity. EchoStars is justifiable very grateful to all who helped and contributed.
Daddy Giraffe saved the day both in being chief motivator for our fund raising that has now topped $11,000+ and for standing out - sorry - standing HIGH in the crowd so we didn't lose each other.
With three teenagers in our team it was inspiring to know that our kids care about making a difference to other kids less advantage that they don't know but care enough to help lend a hand in helping other children get an education.
To Sarah, Nick and Ally, EchoStars hopes you will be with us again next c2f and watch BrightStars school grow and prosper as it helps many more children in need.
