Autumn Gone – memories left – upcoming events

A belated Blog on the Autumn Open Garden. We had fantastic weather for the two weekends and we made $4000 for our gorgeous BrightSTARS. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to make it all possible and thanks to the visitors and sponsors. Without your support EchoStars could not continue to find the funds for our BrightSTARS whose lives now enrich ours.
SAVE THE DATE FOR OUR SPRING OPEN GARDEN:
SEPTEMEBER 20/21 AND 27/28

Watch this space for the upcoming Blog on our walk across England on the Wainwright's Coast to Coast. Grant and I will be treking the 190 MILES on foot and trying to post a daily Blog to raise awareness for our BrightSTARS in a lead up to the city2surf fundraising effort.

You might consider sponsoring our walk for BrightStars on

Costs nothing to join the BLOG and it woud really help my morale to keep the posts going to know that someone is sharing the walk with us. Just enter your email on the Blog to subscribe.

A Warm Embrace
Remember the moto of our New Year in Synday with Kylie Monogue at the Helm of artistic director? She chose to have the words EMBRACE scrawled across our Bridge to remind us to give more hugs to one another. I thought it was a fantastic moto for the New Year.

A reminder to appreciate our lives and to live in love, so go give someone a big Embrace and spread the love around.

A warm Embrace and much love to you all
Rose

Rose is hear with a visitor Bernadette and her family. We thought it appropriate to have her Mum draw the raffle.

Grant manning the gate for the Open Garden. Our committee Member Michael Williams whom we call the 'gate keeper' should be photographed here but he must have been having a break when the photographer took this. Michael has manned our gates on just about every open day and event since EchoStars started – THANKS MICHAEL.
The red October Glory Mapel's are very young but they still manged a good show for the Open Day.

I call this our 'Chapel' - a very special place in the garden looking over the Rose Garden back to the house.
A lot of gardeners do not like what I have done here as they believe the tree has lost its Dignity but I think it has now evolved into a piece of LAND SCULPTURE and stands testament to its age and pays Homage to the Historic House which stands secure with it on the hill.
A couple of other shots from Roy's camera.
EchoStars thanks everyone who visited and made this event a success.
